The Lansing Community College women's cross country team is the NJCAA Division I National Champions for the second consecutive year. The Stars won the NJCAA Division I Cross Country National held today in El Dorado, KS. Lansing finished with 103 points just three points ahead of second place Central Arizona College. They were lead by Casey Mossholder, who finished 11th with a time of 18:22.22 to earn Third Team All-American honors. Ashley Lindeman was 18th in a time of 18:45.51 and Melissa Ricci finished 28th with a time of 19:03.79. Madison Slater was 29th in time of 19:13.58, while Alyssa Mankey rounded out the scorers with a time of 19:24.85 to finish 41st. This is their second Division I Women's Cross Country National Title and sixth Women's Cross Country Title overall.
Macomb Community College's women finished 24th at National Championship. They finished 16th points ahead of Illinois Central College and eight points behind Pasco-Hernando (FL) State College. Macy Gustavus finished 82nd to lead the Monarchs in a time of 20:06.73.
Mott Community College runner Savannah Ferrara finished 77th for the Bears with a time of 20:06.73, while Muskegon Community College's Anastasia Swanson finished 92nd in a time of 20:16.22. Jackson College's Sandra Cesco finished 258th in a time of 23:11.60 as the top finisher for the Jets.
