Men's Basketball - Wed, Feb. 8, 2017

The Mott Community College men's basketball team drooped four spots to number 11 in this week's NJCAA Division II Men's basketball Poll. The Bears are 18-4 overall and 7-2 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They lost to Wayne County Community College District on Wednesday before defeating number 12 Oakland Community College. They will travel to Henry Ford College tonight for their only game this week. 

Macomb Community College jumped up five spot to number 13 in this week's poll. The Monarch are 18-3 overall and lead the MCCAA Eastern Conference with an 8-1 mark. They Delta College and St. Clair County Community College last week. They will travel to Alpena Community College on Saturday for their only game this week. 

Lansing Community College dropped one spot to number 14 in this week rankings. The Stars are 16-4 overall and lead the MCCAA Western Conference with a 9-1 record. They defeated Mid Michigan Community College last Wednesday before falling to Jackson College on Saturday. They will host Grand Rapids Community College and Muskegon Community College this week. 

Schoolcraft College reenters the rankings for the first time since late November at number 17. The Ocelots are 15-5 overall and 7-2 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They defeated Alpena Community College and Wayne County Community College District last week. They will travel to number 20 Oakland Community College tonight before hosting Henry Ford College on Saturday. 

Ancilla College dropped four spots to number 19 in this week's poll. The Chargers are 17-4 overall and 7-3 in the MCCAA Western Conference. They lost to Muskegon Community College before defeating Kellogg Community College last week. They will host Kalamazoo Valley Community College before traveling Mid Michigan Community College on Saturday. 

Oakland Community College dropped eight spots to number 20 this week. They are 17-5 overall and 4-5 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. They lost to Henry Ford College on Wednesday before falling to the number seven Mott Community College on Saturday. They will host number 17 Schoolcraft College tonight and then host Delta College on Saturday. 

Muskegon Community College remains in the other schools receiving votes category again this week . The Jayhawks are 14-5 overall and 8-2 in the MCCAA Western Conference. They then number 15 Ancilla College on Wednesday and then defeated Grand Rapids Community College on Friday night. They will host Kellogg Community College tonight before traveling to number 14 Lansing Community College this weekend.
