Men's Soccer - Tue, Nov. 15, 2016

The Ancilla College men's soccer team defeated the Community College of Baltimore (MD) County-Essex 2-0 in their first pool play match at the NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer National Tournament. The Chargers, who are making their first national tournament appearance got a pair of goals from MCCAA Player of the Year Romario Piggott. Gianluca Marchetti and Taylor Medina combined to shut out the Knights. 

Women's Soccer - Mon, Nov. 14, 2016

The ninth ranked Schoolcraft College women's soccer team tied third ranked Laramie (WY) County College 3-3 but fell in penalty kicks 5-4 in the first match of poll play at the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in Melbourne, FL. The game is official a tie in the season record but a loss in pool standings. It means the the Ocelots need to beat Eastern Florida State College to have any chance to advance. 

Women's Cross Country - Sat, Nov. 12, 2016

The Lansing Community College women's cross country team is the NJCAA Division I National Champions for the second consecutive year. The Stars won the NJCAA Division I Cross Country National held today in El Dorado, KS.  Lansing finished with 103 points just three points ahead of second place Central Arizona College. They were lead by Casey Mossholder, who finished 11th with a time of 18:22.22 to earn Third Team All-American honors. Ashley Lindeman was 18th in a time of 18:45.51 and Melissa Ricci finished 28th with a time of 19:03.79. Madison Slater was 29th in time of 19:13.58, while Alyssa Mankey rounded out the scorers with a time of 19:24.85 to finish 41st. This is their second Division I Women's Cross Country National Title and sixth Women's Cross Country Title overall. 

Men's Cross Country - Sat, Nov. 12, 2016

Schoolcraft College freshman Eric Wilkewitz won the NJCAA Division III Men's Cross Country National Championship today in Canandaigua, NY. Wilkewitz covered the eight kilometer course in a time 29:11.4 to win the race. He finished 15 second ahead for Noah Riley of Ocean (NJ) County College. Wilkewitz also garnered First Team All-American honors for winning the race. He was the only Ocelot runner at the National Meet.
