MCCAA - Mon, Jun. 9, 2014

DONALDSON, IN – Ancilla College recently announced 54 recipients of Dean's List honors, 24 of which were student-athletes. A GPA of a 3.5 or better and a course load of at least twelve credits must be completed in order to be eligible for the Dean's List.

Baseball - Wed, Jun. 4, 2014

Kalamazoo Valley Community College sophomore first baseman Nate Henckel has won the NJCAA Division II ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award.  Henckel had 253 putouts, 13 assists and no errors for a 1.000 fielding percentage.  He was also part of 21 double plays for the Cougars.

Kalamazoo Valley Community College freshman infielder Ryan Slaughter has earned the Marucci Baseball Elite Hitter Award for the Division II North District.  Slaughter hit .421 for the season.  The award is presented to the All-American nominee from each district with the highest batting average.  

MCCAA - Mon, Jun. 2, 2014

Kellogg Community College Athletic Director Tom Shaw has been named MCCAA Athletic Director of the Year for the 2013-14 academic year. Shaw was sited for his work as MCCAA Vice-President, his work in updating all the regulations and for his work as the MCCAA Baseball Chair during the toughest Michigan springs on record. He was also singled out for his work at the Region and National levels as the NJCAA Region XII Assistant Men's Director.
