Men's Basketball - Wed, Feb 15, 2012

Lansing Community College sophomore guard Nate Duhon has been named NJCAA Division II men's basketball player of the week.  Duhon scored 31 points and grab nine rebounds in a 90-88 win over Muskegon Community College.  He also hit the game winning shot with just 3 second left.  He then scored 32 points on 13 of 19 shooting in the Stars 99-77 win over Ancilla College. .

The Ancilla College Men's and Women's basketball team uniforms will be going from blue and gold to pink on Saturday and now the players have a good idea why.

On Saturday, February 18th the Chargers will take on Kalamazoo Valley Community College for their annual Ounce of Prevention fundraiser basketball game. They will wear pink uniforms that day to symbolize their support for Breast Cancer Awareness.  On Friday, Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center oncology patient navigator Lois Carver spoke to the Chargers about what it is like to be a patient facing the diagnosis of cancer. Carver serves as a patient advocate to insure that they receive the support and knowledge they need as they work their way through the health care system.

The Mott Community College men's basketball team is ranked number one in the NJCAA Division II men's basketball poll for the eleventh straight week.  The Bears, who received all 12 first place votes again this week, are 23-1 overall and 12-1 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference
