Jackson College sophomore outfielder Jeffrey Riedel has earned NJCAA First Team Baseball All-American honors. Riedel batted .489 this season with three home runs and 61 runs batted in. He had 21 doubles, 12 triples and 48 stolen bases in 52 attempts. He scored 69 runs and had 67 hits in 137 at bats in 43 games. He helped lead the Jets to the MCCAA Championship this season.

Henry Ford College sophomore Kyle Roberts was selected in the fifth round of the MLB Draft by the Texas Rangers. Roberts, who was named a NJCAA Division II All-American earlier in the week. appeared in 11 games going 4-1 with a save with a 3.72 ERA. He pitched 46 innings, allowing 32 hits, 30 runs, 19 earned, walking 43 and striking out 73 for the Hawks. He also hit .444 with four home runs and 39 runs batted in. Roberts had 15 doubles, one triple, three stolen bases, 32 runs scored and 59 hits in 133 at bats. He is the first MCCAA player to selected in the MLB draft since 2013. 

Softball - Mon, Jun. 6, 2016

The Michigan Community College Athletic Association had four NJCAA Division II Softball All-Americans this season. The group was lead by freshman Kassidy Butler of Kellogg Community College who earned Second Team All-American Honors.  

Butler, an designated player, hit .469 with 18 home runs, 73 runs batted in and five stolen bases. She also had 67 hits, ten doubles, one triple and 43 runs scored in 143 at bats for the Bruins. She helped lead her team to a runner up finish in the NJCAA District I Tournament. 

Softball - Sat, May. 7, 2016

The Muskegon Community College softball team claimed their third MCCAA Softball title since 2010 when they defeated Lansing Community College 3-1 in the championship game of the MCCAA Softball Tournament, today at Ranney Park in Lansing. The wins moved the Jayhawks record to 38-12 for the for season.
