Baseball - Thu, Apr. 10, 2014

Jackson College sophomore left handed pitcher Caleb Baragar has been named NJCAA Division II Pitcher of the Week.  Baragar threw two no hitters last week. Baragar threw all five innings, striking out five in a 10-0, five inning win over St. Clair County Community College on April 1st.  Then on Sunday, he threw seven no hitting innings striking out ten batters to lead the Jets to a 1-0 win over Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Baragar walked 5 batters in 12 innings with a 2-0 record for the week.  

Women's Basketball - Wed, Feb. 26, 2014

The St. Clair County Community College women's basketball team moved up one spot to number six in the final NJCAA Division II women's basketball poll.  The Skippers are 24-2 overall and 17-0 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference and have won the MCCAA Eastern Conference Championship.  Kalamazoo Valley Community College moved up five spots to number 12 in this week's rankings.  The Cougars are 22-4 overall and 14-1 in the MCCAA Western Conference.  Lake Michigan College dropped seven spots to number 13.  The Red Hawks are 23-4 overall and 14-1 in the MCCAA Western Conference.  Delta College moved up one spot to number 14 this week. The Pioneers are 23-5 overall and 14-3 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference.

Men's Basketball - Wed, Feb. 26, 2014

The Wayne County Community College District men's basketball team moved up three spots this week in the final NJCAA Division II men's basketball poll. The Wildcats are 21-4 overall and 15-2 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference.  Mott Community College held steady at number five this week. The Bears are 23-5 overall and 14-3 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference,  Oakland Community College moves up two spots to number six this week. The Raiders are 25-3 overall and 15-2 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference.  Kalamazoo Valley Community College entered the top 20 this week at number 16. The Cougars are 22-6 and 12-3 in the MCCAA Western Conference.

Baseball - Wed, Feb. 26, 2014

The Kellogg Community College baseball team is ranked ninth in the first regular season NJCAA Division II baseball poll. The Bruins will kick off their season on Friday in Louisiana.  Grand Rapids Community College is tied for 20th in the poll. The Raiders kick off their 2014 campaign on Friday in Florida.
