Women's Basketball - Wed, Jan. 11, 2017

The Kalamazoo Valley Community College women's basketball team is up two spots to number 13 in the first NJCAA Division II women's basketball poll of 2017. The Cougars, who were ranked 15th in the last poll, are 9-3 overall and 1-1 in the MCCAA Western Conference. They are 3-2 since the last poll beating North Iowa Area Community College, Sauk Valley (IL) Community College and Ancilla College. They lost to Illinois Central College and Lake Michigan College in that time. They will host Kellogg Community College tonight in their next action. 

Women's Basketball - Thu, Nov. 10, 2016

The Lake Michigan College women's basketball team is ranked sixth in the NJCAA Women's Basketball Division II pre-season poll. The Red Hawks finished last season with 27-7 overall as the qualified for the NJCAA Division II National Tournament for the fifth straight year and sixth in the last seven years. They finished second in the MCCAA Western Conference with a 13-3 record.

Lake Michigan College freshman guard Hailey Maas has been named as a NJCAA Division II Women's Basketball Second Team All-American. Maas helped led the Red Hawks to their fifth straight NJCAA District G Championship and National Tournament appearance. The Red Hawks finished the year with a 27-7 overall record and a 13-3 in MCCAA Western Conference record. 

Women's Basketball - Thu, Mar. 17, 2016

The St. Clair County Community College women's basketball team moved on in the consolation bracket of the NJCAA Division II Women's Basketball National Tournament with an 80-79 win over Hagerstown (MD) Community College. The win moves the Skippers to 22-11 on the season.
