Women's Soccer - Wed, Nov 2, 2011

It has been quite a season for the Delta College women's soccer team.  In their first season of existence they have won the Region XII women's soccer tournament and now they have debuted in the NJCAA Division I women's soccer poll.  The Pioneers are ranked 14th this week with an overall record of 11-3-1 on the season.  They will host Waubonsee (IL) Community College on Saturday at 1 PM in the NJCAA District D women's soccer championship.  The winner of the game will advance to Melbourne, FL to the NJCAA Division I women's soccer national tournament.

Women's Soccer - Mon, Oct 31, 2011

MCCAA women's soccer champion placed three players on the first ever All-MCCAA women's soccer team.  Ocelots Ashley Welch, Renee Boudreau and Lindsay McMullen were name to the All-MCCAA team.  Jackson Community College also place three players on the team.  Taylor Richardson, Taryn Rowley and Mary Stoner were the Jets selected to the team.  Region XII champions Delta College place Megan Sullivan, Taylor Schwellenbach and goaltender Courtney Neiderquill made the team.

The Delta College women's soccer team played number 14th ranked Schoolcraft College to a 0-0 draw after 110 minutes of soccer action, the came the shootout.  Delta College shot first with Taylor Scwellenbach scoring, Renee Boudreau answered for Schoolcraft.

The Schoolcraft College women's soccer team is ranked 14th in the NJCAA Division I women's soccer poll again this week.  The Ocelots are 14-1-1 overall and won the Region XII regular season title with a 10-0 record.  They are also the MCCAA champions with a 6-0 record.  Schoolcraft College will be the top seed at the NJCAA Region XII women's soccer tournament this weekend at Delta College in University Center, MI.  The Ocelots will face Owens (OH) Community College on Saturday at 2:00 PM in University Center, MI.
