Men's Basketball - Mon, Apr. 11, 2016

Lansing Community College sophomore guard Javon Haines has been named a NJCAA Division II Men's Basketball First Team All-American. Haines led the Stars to 31-5 overall record and a 14-2 MCCAA Western Conference record. The Stars won the Western Conference and NJCAA District 9 Tournament and a berth in the NJCAA National Tournament. The Stars finished fifth in the tournament. Haines averaged 24.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.8 steals and 0.1 blocks in 36 games this season. 

 
Men's Basketball - Thu, Mar. 17, 2016

The Lansing Community College men's basketball team fell in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament quarterfinal to Essex (NJ) County College 88-52 on Wednesday night. The loss dropped the Stars record to 29-5 on the season and also relegated them to the fifth place bracket at the tournament.

The Schoolcraft College men's basketball team cruised by Cecil (MD) College 96-82 on Wednesday afternoon at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament held in Danville, IL. The win improved the Ocelots season record to 23-10 overall.

Lansing Community College sophomore guard Javon Haines has been named NJCAA Division II Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending March 6. Haines averaged 27.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.7 steals and 0.3 blocks per game as the Stars went 2-1 on the week. He was 27 of 60 form the floor and 8 of 18 from the three point arc as the Stars won the NJCAA District 9 Championship to qualify for the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.
