Men's Soccer - Thu, Nov. 17, 2016

The sixth ranked Ancilla College men's soccer team tied third ranked Iowa Western Community College 1-1 but advance to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament Semi-finals with a 3-1 advantage in the penalty kick round.  In the NJCAA National Tournament, if the match is tied after two ten minute overtimes the game is ruled a tie but it then goes to penalty kicks to determine a winner for pool play standings. By NCAA/NJCAA rules, the game is a tie unless it is in the National Championship game. 

Men's Soccer - Tue, Nov. 15, 2016

The Ancilla College men's soccer team defeated the Community College of Baltimore (MD) County-Essex 2-0 in their first pool play match at the NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer National Tournament. The Chargers, who are making their first national tournament appearance got a pair of goals from MCCAA Player of the Year Romario Piggott. Gianluca Marchetti and Taylor Medina combined to shut out the Knights. 

Men's Soccer - Mon, Nov. 7, 2016

The Ancilla College men's soccer team dropped one spot to number six in the final NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer poll. The Chargers, who won the NJCAA Region XII Men's Soccer Tournament the last weekend in October to qualified for the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in Tyler, TX. Ancilla has an overall record of 16-1-0 and tied for the MCCAA Conference title at 7-1-0. The Chargers won the NJCAA Region XII regular season title with a 13-1-0.  Ancilla will wait for the announcement of the pools at the NJCAA National Tournament. 

Men's Soccer - Fri, Oct. 21, 2016

The Ancilla College men's soccer team is ranked fifth for the second straight week in the NJCAA Division II Men's Soccer poll. The Chargers entered the week with a 13-1-0 overall record and a 6-1-0 record in the MCCAA and 12-1-0 in Region XII matches. They have clinched the Region XII regular season title and the number one seed in the NJCAA Region XII Tournament. Ancilla clinched a share of the MCCAA title on Wednesday when they defeated Jackson College 3-2 in overtime.  They have concluded the regular season and are off until next Saturday when the will play in the NJCAA Region XII Tournament semi-final against the winner of Cuyahoga Community College and Jackson College.
