Men's Basketball - Sat, Apr. 12, 2014

Mott Community College sophomore guard Malik Albert has been named to the NJCAA Division II men's basketball First Team All-American.  Albert averaged 24.4 points and 4.5 assists in 31 games this season.  He average 3.9 rebounds and 3.0 steals while leading the Bears to the NJCAA District 10 semi-finals.  

Men's Basketball - Wed, Feb. 26, 2014

The Wayne County Community College District men's basketball team moved up three spots this week in the final NJCAA Division II men's basketball poll. The Wildcats are 21-4 overall and 15-2 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference.  Mott Community College held steady at number five this week. The Bears are 23-5 overall and 14-3 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference,  Oakland Community College moves up two spots to number six this week. The Raiders are 25-3 overall and 15-2 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference.  Kalamazoo Valley Community College entered the top 20 this week at number 16. The Cougars are 22-6 and 12-3 in the MCCAA Western Conference.

Men's Basketball - Fri, Feb. 21, 2014

Mott Community College sophomore guard Malik Albert has been named NJCAA Division II Men's Basketball Player of the week. Albert averaged 27.5 points and 8.0 assists per game for the Bears, who went 1-1 last week.  He also averaged 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 0.5 blocks in two game last week. The Bears are currently 21-5 overall and 12-3 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference.  They have clinched a berth in the NJCAA District 10 men's basketball tournament.  

Men's Basketball - Wed, Feb. 19, 2014

The Mott Community College men's basketball team dropped two spots this week to number five in this week NJCAA Division II men's basketball poll. The Bears are 20-5 overall and 11-3 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. Wayne County Community College District moved up six spots to number six in this week's rankings. The Wildcats are 19-3 overall and 13-1 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference.  Oakland Community College dropped four spots to number eight this week. The Raiders are 22-3 overall and 12-2 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. Glen Oaks Community College moves up three spots to number 13 this week. The Vikings are 20-3 overall and 11-1 in the MCCAA Western Conference.  Kalamazoo Valley Community College remains in the other schools receiving votes this week.  The Cougars are 20-6 and 10-3 in the MCCAA Western Conference.
