It has been 39 years since the Michigan Community College Athletic Association has crowned a champions. However on Saturday at Bartels-Rode Gym on the campus of Muskegon Community College will change one of four schools will be crowned as the MCCAA champion. The last champion was crowned in 1979-80 when Muskegon CC took the title. In fact Muskegon took the last six MCCAA championships before the sport was discontinued by the MCCAA for having less than four sponsoring schools.
On Saturday, the coaches will meet at 10:00 AM to seed each weight class and the wrestling will start at noon. The schools competing for the title will be Ancilla College, Henry Ford College, St. Clair County Community College and host Muskegon Community College.
